Yes, if it just little modification & fixed/optimized it with latest IASL compiler, the size can be smaller.
It is not possible for BIOS to have two version of DSDT in BIOS. There are another table called SSDT(s) which working together with DSDT. SSDT contain specific instruction like CPU speedsteping (P-States & C-States), SATA operation, etc. It is possible (extra) instruction for ATI card is in one of the SSDT table.
Phoenix SLIC MOD can re-size the DSDT if it is just a couple of bytes larger than the original size. It will just zeroed the non essential part, like the header.

BTW, thank you for sharing the BIOS recovery procedure for TimeLineX 3820T/3820TG notebook. The last part, if it doesn't reboot automatically, was not mentioned in the service manual.

Thanks for the info but my computer does not go to standby mode at all no matter how long I close the lid...so I dont think that this method applies to my model..

Yes, I am aware that BIOS has only one DSDT table. I was referring to the fact that extracted DSDT from Windows registry was different from the DSDT extracted from the BIOS file in about six places that represented memory range/location. My pure guess was that it related to graphic cards. Doesn't matter though.
Yes, I know about SSDT. I had to use RWEverything report to find some "missing pieces" needed for DSDT mod.

Yes, you told me that before. But it was more than just 2 byte difference. More like +100. It is Insyde BIOS for that laptop, so must be a bit different?

No problem. It is something that worked for me when everything else failed. Thought I'd share it.

Well, then I guess it is time to RMA.

The different in memory range/location is not a problem. Brightness levels support is depend on the built-in output device (LCD) not the graphic card.
It should be the same even for Insyde BIOS - when re-building BIOS image, individual modules will be compressed before putting all of the modules together (based on their original offset) to formed BIOS image. This is how Phoenix SLIC MOD tool work. Anyway, you will faced difficulty to re-integrate the modified DSDT if you make major modification to DSDT (add additional functions, etc). In your case only minor modification, so you won't faced any problem.

The best/cleaner way to override DSDT is at boot level. However I'm not aware any solution like this for windows. I use modified DSDT this way on a couple of my computers (OS is not windows - to achieve native support for the devices).

There is no option to control C4 in BIOS 1.26 but I found this option:-
    [IMG]
This screenshot taken from BIOS 1.22. It should be the same for BIOS 1.26. Look like all available CX states already enabled by default. Packard Bell TJ75's BIOS is not supported by PBE but I can mod it if you want to unlock (other) hidden options.

    Thanks @kizwan.

Could you do unlock hidden settings at 1.26 BIOS?

    Could you share modified bios?

    Sorry for my bad English.

It will be ready as soon as possible. For the meantime, please make sure your notebook can recover corrupted BIOS with CRISIS disk.

Is there a ROM for the 8942G that can do these two things:
    -VT
    - RAID option

I looked everywhere but I can't find it. Also, ACER came out with a new ROM for the 8942, anybody knows what it does?

Usually, when BIOS recovery is successful, the computer in question will either automatically shutdown or reboot/restart itself from the BIOS recovery mode. Since none of that happen on your notebook, BIOS recovery is not successful. 4 - 5 minutes is too short. Wait for at least 15 minutes to be sure. If after 5 - 10 minutes it doesn't restart/shutdown itself, press touchpad's right button & wait for another 10 - 15 minutes.

    @computerrob,

I already checked & I found the VT enable bit is set to 1. There is not other lock in BIOS that prevent VT from working. Meaning, the VT option available in BIOS menu does enabled the VT enable bit (MSR register 0x3A). SYMCMOS symbolic dump you gave me earlier also confirmed this. I believe the problem lies on hardware level. Maybe the TravelMate 8210's motherboard (chipset) doesn't support Virtualization technology. I'm sorry, there is nothing I can do about this.

Please provide me one last information. I just want to see the CPUID Hardware Monitor ( HWMonitor) monitoring data. At File, select Save Monitoring data. Please post here the HWMonitor.txt file.

It is built-in tool in Phoenix BIOS Editor (PBE). It is called Setup Table Editor. You can emulate there.

It is impossible if the hardware (chipset+processor) doesn't support it.

It easy. Identify the chipset used by your Aspire 5920G & check it at Intel website.

I found out that Aspire 5920G have chipset Intel PM965 Chipset & Intel Core 2 Duo T7300. Can you confirmed you have the same specification? If it is, both (chipset + processor) support 800MHz FSB. The memory module also need to be 800MHz FSB to be able to run at 800MHz FSB. You'll need memory module PC2-6400 (DDR2-800). Please install CPU-Z & post here the screenshots of Memory & SPD tabs.

Yes i have an Intel PM965 chipset and an T9300 CPU with 800MHZ FSB and i have also 4GB PC2-6400 from Geil installed. Currenty my notebook is totally decomposed, so i dont can make a screenshot. But all Components are ready for 800MHZ Memory, but the bios dosent support it.
