My dvd drive is not working. Has anyone got a service manual for the Travelmate 4051 or can anyone tell me how I take the back off to get to the motherboard? I have undone all the screws and used brute strength and ignorance but I can't shift it.

I spilled some beer in my Acer Travelmate 8100 and is in great need of a service manual. I couldn't find the model in the first post but some of the later models in the Travelmate series might work.

I have been searching for ACER's 3613 service manual or any ACER service manual with Sonoma platforms for months, no luck. I won't buy any ACER or ASUS laptops for sure in future for lack of service manual. Dell has better built and has all the service manuals on its support website, is now my most favorite!

Hello. Anyone have a Acer Aspire 5024wlmi service manual? I have found the 3000_3500_5000.pdf version from this www.eserviceinfo.com site, but it is for the older Acer laptops. Would GREATLY appreciate, if someone could send a link to this manual.

I think Aspire 5021, 5022, 5023 and 5024 are quite similar, so they might have the same service manual.

 

Answering to myself. This link http://doube.net/3023wlmi-dissection.html explains how to open Acer Aspire 3023WLMi. This info was what I needed to replace damaged keyboard on Aspire 5024wlmi. Unlike in the link, if you just want to replace the keyboard, you don't need to unscrew any screws from the bottom, just lift the top panel CAREFULLY. I bent few plastic clips, but got the job done anyway.

Not the 8100 specifically, but the Ferrari 4000 is closely based on the 8100 (in fact, the Ferrari manual even mentions this):
