    It has better GPU and slightly newer CPU.

    though the performance is bit disappointing, in my eyes: even if the Acer V5 with the i5-4210U has lower CPU-power, the difference to other laptops sporting the GTX850M is quite big, IMHO:
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M - NotebookCheck.net Tech

    -> they have values for the new V5-573G already in their list of benchmarks.

    take for example Wolfenstein: the Acer reaches in high details 33.5 fps, the other NBs testes around 40. =>15% diff.
    or Thief: Acer V5 -> 27 fps @high details. other NBs (with dualcore) around 35 fps => again 15%
    BF4: Acer with 45 fps@high, other NB with dualcore -> 55 fps => 18%.

    the V7 should be a bit better, but the i7-4510 wont close that gap completly.

    @SCARed

    That's true but if you compare 4200u and 4500u (there are more benchmarks for those than for refreshed 4210u and 4510u) is seems that Core i7 is between 12 and 16% faster than Core i5, so while it will not close the gap entirely it will make it much narrower than it is with Core i5, that's why in my opinion it's wort paying extra for Core i7 4510U.

    Source of my speculation here

    A lot better GPU ;)- see here for game performance comparison.

    Mainly because of 640 shader cores in 850M rather than 384 in 750M.

    While CPU is indeed underwhelming, GPU is indeed a worthy upgrade.

    well, the CPUs itself will work like you pinted out. but if you take a look at the benches for GT750M, you finde the old versions of Acer V5 and the V7. for totally unclear reasons (throtteling???), in just a number of games, the V5 did better than the V7, albeit the worse i5 vs. i7. take for example Tomb Raider or Biohock Infinite. in both the V5 scored roughly 10% better. so I would be at least very suspicious, if the i7-4510U would hel the new Acer fly so much. the performance of the new V5 istn't bad. it is just noticable worse than other laptops with the GTX850M.

    So, I see this thread hasn't received any updates lately but, is there any info regarding this? Did anyone buy it? I see that there is a version with an Intel Core i7 4510U (german amazon link) which seems like a nice compromise between performance, both CPU and GPU-wise, and battery.
