Which things appear to be different?

I think you can just ignore that statement. I was just wondering if someone knew which method/tutorial is best to use for Windows 7.
-
If you have PowerDVD 9, you can use that. Otherwise, you can take up the free and opensource Media Player Classic: Homecinema.
-
Yeah I have been using MPC HC, which is what was recommended in the tutorials I've looked through. The parts I wasn't sure about was one of the tutorials is showing how to use PowerDVD with MPC, another one is showing Haali, I saw a post in this thread saying to use Divx... I read somewhere(don't remember where anymore) but someone said that in Win7 HD playback is fixed in someway, again don't remember what was "fixed". But its all these different ways of doing the same thing that has me wondering what's best.

i just tried latest Splash Lite 1.0 and still problems with deblocking on dxva.
-
This problem is solved by installing Windows 7 with WMP 12.
-
Does it work only in wmp (i hate it)? or just some new drivers in win7 solve the problem?
-
-
it would be very complicated for me now to install win7 on my notebook :/ -
i tried splash about a month ago, but they have put a new version out since then, im re-downloading it now and i will see what happens.
I tried to do MPC:HC with the cyberlink decoder (i have powerDVD9 Ultra) but i was unable to add the external filter. i would click on the exact file that the guide (Linked to in several places on this thread) said to use, but it wouldnt show up in the external filter list. im not sure what was happening, but i cant get past that step.
As another method, i am also trying something suggested earlier in this thread by user namaiki, involving the DVIX decoder on MPC:HC.
now i have splash and MPC:HC both installed. i am going to try my 1080p quantum of solace on both when i have time and see what happens -
Splash has the same (deblocking appears to be broken) as Media Player Classic: Homecinema. I think it's a driver issue. Err.. I haven't tried the newer version out, if there is one (back to 8KB/s internet for about 2 weeks..).
-
RC can not do it. -
More importantly though, i just finished watching about 30 minutes of quantum of solace in 1080p on the newest Splash player build (splash lite 1.0) without a single hiccup, CPU usage was around 20-50%, and unlike the last build of splash i had, it didn't pixelate, and strange colors didn't wash out the whole image and it did not freeze at all. It sees that the newest splash player will hold me over just fine until the win 7 release. Truth is when i bought my timeline about a month ago, i spent a week straight trying to get this thing to play 1080p video smoothly with no success. By the end of the week i had given up hope and decided this computer would just not be a movie machine, but with this new splash player, well, its a movie machine again! -
Phil, I did exactly what a link on this forum directed me to hardforums.com(?). It was about enabling DXVA playback in general. There was a clear , well explained guide how to do this on Vista, Win7 on ATI and Intel or Nvidia hardvare. And all the possible combinations, where the instructions for Ati and Intel were the same, and Nvidia used CUDA.
The steps were for Win7 Like:
- get latest Intel/Ati Driver
- download the standalone MPC-HC codec pack, run regsvr32.exe in the install folder with -v videocedec.ax or something. By this you make WMP12 able to interpret .MKVs.
- install the Haali splitter
- install ffdshow with audio ONLY for best audio handling
- done.
I use WMP12, because MPC HC crashes when I drag the movies from one screen to another. I can play all the 1080p trailer just fine, with CPU inbetween 20 and 30%. No quality problems, whatsoever. -
AcerTimelineHunter, several people have reported Windows 7 plays it out of the box, without all those steps.
I don't know because I don't have 1810T nor Windows 7. -
So what's the best combination for perfect smooth play and high picture quality?
-
-
You've got a 1410 so you got an Intel 4500MHD iGP.
The latest Win7 driver is linked in Timeline Tweaks. -
Try both MPC HC 32bits and 64bits versions, you'll see different results in the list! -
-
so this method is better than CoreAVC?
-
Bourne Ultimatum 1080p plays smoothly with 50% cpu load, i have the following:
win7 x64
latest graphics driver
wmp12
2gig ram 667
yeah, not much need to be done. -
You can find it here: direct download
If yes, is your 1810T standerd or did you do any mods? -
for vista users with sp1 and sp2
download latest gpu drivers from intel site
install splash lite HD player and enable dxva (hardware accelaration)
and voila
even transformers 2 1080p plays flawlessly with 5% cpu usage thanx to proper driver and dxva -
Hi guys,
I noticed something, even tho the cpu load is around 50%, the 1080p mkv video still LAGS. What is the reason for this as the CPU is strong enough to play the mkv.. The CPU never reach 100% so i don't see why the video lags??
I use MPC HC + DXVA -
Is there anyone that can play this H264 clip on Timeline SU3500 without 100% CPU load?
