Yeah, pretty much like most of the forums...![]()
Thanks, but prefer not to share my email on public forums. Who knows, my ex girlfriend might be waiting for exactly that.)

Here is what I managed to find.
T9900
GeForce GT 240
Samsung 840 EVO
Crucial M500
Thinking of going with the Samsung SSD. Do you think is worth the few extra quid? Also, should I ho ahead and order the components (CPU, Graphics, SSD)? -
The CPU is OK. You need this GPU though - GT 240M 1GB MXM II. I'm selling HD4670, but it's pricey. As for the SSDs, I'm against anything Samsung, so I can't give you objective opinion. I can tell you for sure that M500 is among the top real world performers, while being pretty cheap. There is a 960GB M500 drive for sale in the Marketplace.

I m thinking of firstly buying the CPU and SSD, then GPU chip. I was also thinking of getting a lower capacity drive - like 120 GB for the system only. Will there be any point buying a bigger one since I have DDR2, how faster would it be for non system use?
-
Depends on what you are after. SSD improves overall system behavior - not only system load and response, but application and games (level) loading as well. Games are pretty big nowadays, so bigger SSD means more games. That's if you play games at all. If you don't and you don't edit video, 120GB is perfectly fine for the OS and your programs.

Just ordered the Crucial M500 480GB for £173. I think this is a pretty good deal.
Now going to order the CPU.
P.S. Just ordered the CPU too. -
Hi,
I also upgrade my 6930, 3 years ago I change my 9300m to 9600m gt and last week i bought CPU T9600 to replace my P7350, GPU 4650 DDR3 and 2x4GB 800MHz. But when I oc my 9600 it is mutch better then 4650. in ranking 4670 is only litle higher than 4650 so im not sure it is worth a extra money. Now i'm waiting for GPU 4850 512MB and QX9300 :-D Second good card is GTX 260M but looks litle strange and need extra space for heatsink. I add also two litle fan oven CPU and GPU, now temp GPU cant reach 85*C when i'm play WOT.
Screens below: 9600, 4650, 9600 OC, 4650 OC

Firstly, sorry to disappoint you, but neither the QX9300 would work, nor the HD4850 would fit in there. QX9300 requires extra circuity in order to work, and unless your notebook had quad beforehand, it's highly unlikely that it would have this circuity. As for HD4850 - it is both taller and wider, and judging from the pictures there is no room for it. It might work (if you have another heat-sink to attach it to it, while the GPU sits at angle), but it wont fit.
Secondly HD4670 can score upwards of 8300 3D Marks. That's because it can be overclocked higher than HD4650, because HD4650 has a limitation of 1.1v core voltage, where HD4670 is 1.2v (800MHz+ core). Also you seem to have a nice sample of 9600M GT, probably C1.
Those are nice little fans, where do you get juice for them? -
Well 4850 should fit, 73mmx73mm vs 85mmx10,3mm there is enaugh space but its almost to second CPU screw and ond only few mm to memory slot, and i need to remove fan behind CPU. About QX9300... i never check compability to 6930 only to chipset PM45 :-/ It time to start looking for X9100. Fans are powered from sata power conector.
btw triturbo what ist your CPU score in 3dmark at 3,0 and 3,6Ghz? -
hi all guys,
someone has got a memory speed of 800 mhz with a cpu of 1066 bus? -
-
I ask for both score. Like you say I cant use QX cpu so I bught a X9100. Score below. And about 4850.. its work in my acer but not realy good. When I move coils and capacitors mounting in 6930 is posible. But im not sure this card is working properly or i make mistake and damege card because drivers not respond when I open any program 3d. I downgrade my win os for beter suport for this card and still nothing. Now Im thinking about one revision of 260m gtx. Its can be mounted backward with ori heatpipe.
