Hi! im new here..
reading other post, they can upgrade ram to 3.5g
but mine cant do that
only support 2g
can i know how u guys did that -
hi
can anybody help me for cpu upgrade?
T5850 with higher clock speed or T7300 with higher FSB and L2 cache?
thanks. -
What do you need help for? If it will work? I think it will work fine, the 4315-2963 has either GL960 or GM965 chipset and you can install a T7300 C2D Merom without any issues. You may need to update your BIOS though.
Oh yeah, when you upgrade to the T7300 your FSB will automatically increase to 800Mhz. -
you say that T7300 is more powerful than T5850.right?
-
Err..not really. I only said you can upgrade though now I see the T5850 is socket M 2,1Ghz and I'm not so sure anymore.
Anyway T5850 seem equally powerful to the T7300 so in my opinion there is no point to upgrade. -
are you sure that T5850 is not socket P?
and the model name written in back panel ia Aspire 4315-101G08Mi.
no problem with upgrade from celeron 550 to one of these processores?(T7300 or T5850).and what is your recommendation between T7300 and T5850?
thanks a lot. -
Nope, I'm not sure about the 5850 socket type, http://processorfinder.intel.com/ has no info about it which make me think it's a OEM processor. There is a guy here reporting it as a socket M. I'll try to find more info about this CPU.
The T7300 and T5850 seems very equal I'd go for the whichever is cheaper.
Edit: Found a retailer claiming the CPU is "Socket: Micro-FCPGA"(see here or here) which means it's a socket P(see here). -
so i am going to buy T7300
thank you. -
actually they make a t5550 m socket and a t5550 p socket...if its 1.6 ghz its m...if its 1.8ghz its p...I know its kinda stupid, its not like they were running out of numbers
-
Hi Tmtang64!: i also have the 4315 and i see you say that it accepts 4gb of ram is that correct?
many thanks! -
