I have finally solved the dreaded Busted Fan for Acer Ferrari 5000 issue.

Yes, the manfacturer no longer makes the fans for the Acer Ferrari 5000, No the fan is not available in the first 20 pages of google in searches, the fans out there that claim to work for the 5000 DO NOT WORK if they are not made by Sunon, not only do theyt not fit without glue and tape but they last about 15 minutes.

Ok now for the good news. What you are trying to replace is the GC055515VH-A fan, model number B2376 13v1 FGN. There is no such beast on the planet anymore.

But... The GC055515VH-A model number B2607 is a direct, drop in replacement. The only difference is a small notch in the fan mount that you can ignore or for the sake of purists, you can put a small piece of scotch tape over it to seal it off.

I am running on that fan now. It is nice and quiet and is also a mag lev fan like the origonal for long life.

At last, my laptop is a happy camper again and the coffee cup warmer feature is working fine again! (Ferrari sarcasm)

Hello everyone. Got a question for you all.

I've been reading up on the Acer 4810t and trying to find information on how to upgrade the CPU on this thing. I bought an Intel SU9400 to swap out with my SU3500 and just wanted some clear direction to take myself in. Anyway, there didn't seem to be much of that sort of info here on this post and doing a search in the site doesn't come up with any good results. can anyone help me?

I hope there is some info out there for this. I love the laptop, but not the CPU.

Ok, any idea how to go about that? I looked up some videos and that gave me an idea of what it is, but I don't really know how to go about the process.

    Optical, mini-TOSLINK connector.
It's the same port as the headphones jack, but the mini-TOSLINK connector is longer and activates the LED.
