You do not have the passive cooling trip point (throttling trip point) in your code.

You can still disable the throttling.

I can try to cap the TZ temp so that it will never go above a value that you choose.

If you know what temp the throttling starts, please tell me and I will try to mod the file.

So, I should upload the dsdt.asl here?
I am done with the 7 steps already.
I should upload dsdt.text or dsdt.asl, I saw some people were uploaded the dsdt.text.
Never mind. I upload the dsdt.asl(zipped) 1st. Moral_hazard, your work now. Thanks.

Later, when I need to run the 13-15 steps.
I need to open the CMD using Admin again and go to cd: C:\ACPI???
And the dsdt you edited, you will upload here again right and then, I should copy and replace the old file with it?
By the way, my BIOS is v1.14 and laptop model AS6920G.

Then i tried to compile it in the Prompt but got an error (see attached Picture)

so how do i get a working *.asl out of the *.txt?

Mm was a while ago. I'm sure it was 55c or maybe 60c. I would try to throttle again to check but its pretty cold here :/

EDIT- one of my older posts says it was around 57c for my cpu when i didn't know what was going on. So i think it be around the 55c mark.

Basically, AS6920G have a faulty to throttle when the CPU reached 57.5C.
So, when you reach about 55-58C, the CPU will throttle anytime.
Where is Moral Hazard? I want my bloody DSDT LOL. I hope it works for me. If it doesn't, I still can survive with my own tweak.
Last time, my CPU tended to throttle when I hit 57.5C. However, with my tweak(suppose to lock throttle but it doesn't really lock), it didn't throttle at 57.5C anymore instead it is above 60C or 65C. My CPU won't hit 60C++ with undervolt, so, I didn't experience any throttle anymore(room temperature 20-28C). But if the surrounding temperature is very high(30-35C), I think it will hit 60C++ or 65C++ and start throttle again.

No my laptop has no issues Aspire 4530
But I think it would be helpful if they could run OCCT and upload the graph.
The throttling can be observed from the graph.

As mentioned long ago, it is 57.5C(about) that the throttle will kick-in.
Well, the TJmax for AS6920G(maximal supported temperature, cpu will shutdown when it reach Tjmax to avoid damage) is 105C. I think Acer(stupid) made the Throttle temperature 105C/2 = 57.5C. Maybe Acer think it is safe and to avoid overheat.
However, LOW THROTTLE TEMPERATURE caused a lot of problems for the users.
In addition, 50-70C of CPU temperature during intense usage is very safe but Acer think it is not???
    Abraxis, maybe you apply wrongly?

MORAL HAZARD WHERE ARE YOU????

It`s a dam disgrace the processor throttles at 57.5C , it`s hardly started to get warm, If thousands of buyers started returning their notebooks to Acer they would bring out a fix double quick.

There're indeed thousands of users of AS6920G/8920G/(so on). But, not all of them what is happening. Basically, a lot of them didn't notice the slowdown of FPS during gaming. If they know, still, some of them think it is due to GPU failure or throttle/downclock due to overheat. Some of them think it is CPU overheat.
I was one of those who(think the culprit is) came from GPU overheat > CPU overheat > CPU throttle > rmclock(undervolt to fix problem) > rmclock darksilver tweak(special undervolt) > moral hazard dsdt table fix(haven't apply).

You should have renamed it to dsdt .asl, not dsdt.txt.

Then you used the wrong command

You should have used the command:
    asl dsdt.asl

then you should have used the second command to load it:
    asl /loadtable dsdt.aml

Try it again with the file I modified. Be carefull to use the exact commands I just posted here, don't get .txt, .asl and .aml mixed up.

    Follow the guide properly :D

    Ok, thanks.

    @DarkSilver,

    here is your modified file.

You will need to use the command:
    asl dsdt.asl

then you will need to use the command:
    asl /loadtable dsdt.aml

I am using ASL Compiler 4.
MoralHazard, the DSDT you modded worked I guess. I didn't go deep down in exploring it. But it seems it worked.
I set the VID to 1V and play some games. It didn't throttle(used to be throttle if using 1V).
    Thanks a lot. Muacks.
By the way, what thing you changed in the DSDT table?

    He modified below
    Used to be
Another way you could write the code
    0xe93=373 in decimal so 373 - 273 = 100(Because it is in Kelvin)
The new Temperature it should throttle at is 100 degrees.
Anyway have you tested it completely?
Run OCCT make sure there are no drops in the graph.
If you want I can insert it into the BIOS directly so no table overload will be required when a reformat is done.
At the same time if you want SLIC 2.1 inserted it can be done also.
If you want me to do that tell me which compiler you want it compiled with?
Microsoft ASL or Intel ASL they produce different AML file.

I can check the TJmax only.

Did I need to do this again(I mean these asl stuffs) after I reformat my laptop?

    Download and run OCCT (google)
Yes because it is added via the registry.
By default in a new install Windows will request a AML from the BIOS which is the original BIOS AML that causes throttling unless you replace the BIOS's copy you have to redo everytime you reformat.
This method off overloading DSDT was originally intended for ACPI Progammers for testing purposes.

I want a direct showing THROTTLE value software instead of stressing or need to run some test.
I know stressing can lead to throttle but my laptop didn't throttle with my own tweak(rmclock tweak which allow my throttle point to be higher than usual i think but not sure how caused it) and moralhazard tweak(set 100C as throttle point but i need to confirm using software).
So, I need a software(that can have the throttle value to show me) instead of stressing(while I can't make it to throttle now).

I tried GRID(I think powerful already) and Left 4 Dead.
I guess the throttle has been terminated.
I think Moral Hazard should open a new topic on DSDT modding and AS6920G 100% working tweak.

Hell NO. Because with my Undervolted CPU, I can have lower temperature for the entire laptop due to less heat is accumulated. Therefore, I can OC my GPU better and the GPU have lower temperature as well due to less heat is transferred to heatsink by the CPU.
Moreover, undervolt can allow my hand to stay longer on the keyboard while gaming(LOL my housemate's is like can fry an egg). Longer the lifespan of the CPU. Natural/ecosystem friendly(less heat and less electrical usage). Save money from buying a cooler which I find it only can low 2-5C of temperature while Undervolt can lower 5-12C of temperature.

    So much of benefits. LOL.

This method is safe for me. If you encounter BSOD or freeze, you can revert the process, just reboot and go into BIOS setting and set the "last good setting"(something like tat). Then, the problem will gone.

No Ok you see SLIC2.1 activate both vista and Win7 but SLIC 2.0 only activate Vista.
Original BIOS always comes with SLIC2.0 since Win7 laptops are not out yet.
Win7 laptop will all come with SLIC 2.1
So I can replace your 2.0 with 2.1 but not add.
Or you meant that you want 2 BIOS version?

No you can still use the New SLIC 2.1 to activate Vista, it is backward compatible.
You just need to download new certificate and use slmgr to insert it into windows.
Anyway this is the completed Mod
    Very successful Zero errors :D
I double check the module checksum to ensure it is as good as the original on BIOS modules I didn't touch and they match so all is well.
Before flashing download and read the README in my BIOS flashing Package
It will give you a good idea of the best way of flashing a BIOS, and emergency recovery techniques and how to use SLIC 2.1.
    Aspire_ 6920G_V114_FIXED.ROM
    Aspire_6920GV114_FIXED_MODDED.ROM
To check if it works go to run "regedit"
    Delete "HKLM\ACPI\DSDT" then reboot
This will force Windows to obtain new DSDT Tables from the BIOS.
    Keep me updated.
