I'm really eager to know what people paid, to ensure I'm getting the best possible deal. So what did you pay? :p

TCB= topcashback. Similar to quidco. I believe most online shoppers should be quite familiar with them to take advantage of online deals.

I applied a £300 voucher just valid for 12 hours on easter day. :D
If you asked me on Royal wedding day I have another one unopened @ £1k with a few upgrades and 16% discount. Too bad it has been returned already.

I paid the list price on the base model. I should have tried to negotiate I guess but I needed it really quickly.

Got mine for £770... £1100+£40 for the higher res screen, minus the same £300 voucher and £68 quidco.

That £300 off voucher was a godsend, we really got lucky with that one!

Damn completely missed that voucher! Probably be another year before we get a decent alienware voucher :(
There seem to be vouchers flying around all the time for the dell range, what a pity you cant use those.

Pretty sure you can? I remember trying a 10% off one which worked and was only supposed to be for the XPS range. Try putting the codes in...

some vouchers may require you to log in as EPP status, give it a go if you are eligible

    The xps,inspiron, or somet else voucher worked 10% off. I suppose I can't get EPP on top of that? If I use quidco i get an extra 10%, so 991 - 99 + 5=less than £900 :O Im happy :D :D :D :D

Quidco/TCB only 10% pay ex-VAT for Dell transactions, so ideally you will get around £75 back.
Using TCB instead you can get extra 5% if redeemed into amazon voucher, so you can invest in ram or hdd upgrade in future :D

Tempting, but I'd like to give the cash to my parents, who are buying me the machine lol :)
Ex VAT without delivery charge is £800, so I'll get £80 back, but I'm happy to pay £900ish pound, considering I thought the best I would do was £990 :D

Also, question about quidco (using this because I have an account there), if I clicked the link to the dell site ages ago(via quidco), and have browsed it in the mean time, then put my m14x in the basket, then bought it at say 6pm, the 10% cashback won't disappear or anything? Will it?

Quidco is never guaranteed, even if you did everything correctly they may still mess up or grab your money. For large amount that does matters it is always good idea to clear cookies and check out asap to minimize the chance of error.

If it is not tracked til mid May you can open a ticket.

Too bad the one I returned was basic spec + 900p screen, upgraded wifi and bluetooth. You could have it between royal wedding and may bank holiday for £990! :D

nah, quidco is fine you can stick to it if you like.
But if you do wish to switch to tcb they have no charge at all. personally I am using both, sometimes they pay different rates on same product.

Still, cashback is never guaranteed anywhere. You shouldnt rely on it, but 90% of my transactions are claimed without any effort.

Put the m14x into the basket, then there will be an 'apply coupon' box, just copy and paste it there. :)
