    Are the GPU specs same....................????
This is the biggest question but still so much power in such a small form factor.

Why do you keep trying to find something that is better than the M14x ?

Go to the LG sub-forums and poke around there ;)

I dont want something different with the same specs as the m14x. Honestly I want the m14x so bad, but I find these things while poking around for 14 inchers with better specs. This laptop needs to last me through High School (4 years) :\.

It should easily last you four years for highschool, it should keep up with the games for some time, however if you really want something you can game with throughout four years and stay on high settings then build a desktop...easily replace parts when they are outdated and be relatively cheap, get a cheaper laptop for school and have a nice desktop. I plan on having this laptop for anywhere from 2-4 years until I replace it, and I plan on being able to game on it with high settings for a couple years (the games I play anyways). In the future I am going to build a desktop (you can build a super fast desktop that can play any game at high settings for the same price as this alienware).

Stay in school and do well fool. Your a lucky 13-14 yr old kid that your parents are willing to shell out $1,000+ when other kids the same as your age can't even afford to eat 3 times daily.

    2 questions:
    1. How hot is it when fully-stressed?
    2. How long is the battery life?

Hah, I'm in high school with an M11x, but my parents don't shell out the money for me. :) I think that if this get decent battery life, it could be a good laptop. I don't mind how a laptop looks as long as its fast.

1 - Call up Alienware and haggle to get a good deal on an M14x
    2 - Buy the M14x
    3 - Get a job when you're 16
4 - Buy new laptop because high school kids' income is ALL disposable income
    5 - ????
    6 - PROFIT.

Actually Ive had a job since I was 12 lol.... Its really a long story but you can pm me about it later. In a short form, I've basically been earning 8.25 an hour doing work for Second Life for a year and a half now, and have bought both my computers that are in my sig :p

Anyways, @ptrkhh, we don't really know atm as its really just brand new and wont be out until September. More videos may appear as Comptuex visitors start to upload their videos...

EDIT: And yes, if youre wondering I plan on buying this new computer as well, but I want top save the rest of my money for a car in a couple years so this needs to be my last big purchase ;)

Same boat. I'll be getting a car soon, but I'm getting a laptop to last me awhile first. The HP DV6 with Llano and 6750M Xfired with the IGP looks perfect.

Get the m14x, and just don't think about the negative side. You'll love the m14x when you get it. Just get the accidental warranty tho.

I got the M14x with 6GB RAM and a 2 year on-site for $1159. I'm sure you could get them to give you 2 year accidental and "only" get 4GB of RAM if you played hardball, though. I was bringing the Momentus XT over from my M15x and didn't want to have to mess with ordering 6 or 8GB of RAM just to get the extra 2 (over 4) so I threw that in there as part of my "do this or I'm buying a G53SW" demands. Worked pretty well. :)

Oh, and when I reached a US sales agent I literally said "I want this with this and this for this price or I'm going someplace else." In two minutes he had the price I asked for $1199) beat by $40. Hardball does work. :)

I always thought people in this forum were 25+ years for the most part, no younger kids like me... But that LG is going to be around 1600 minimum.

on various german sites the lg p330s price is stated at about 1000 euro and above

regardless, ill be asking at the ifa what price can be expected

also it was said this is for the european market so probably also for the us

Okay. Now finally the M14x won't be called the most 'powerful' 14-inch laptop in the world.

I mean LG has beaten alienware's name and fame for its cooling. Now its a challenge for alienware to get something really surprising (I would say get a GTX 560m in 14 inch factor) and they would become invincible.

We should post at IdeaStorm |. This is the site where dell takes up ideas and implements them (if you don't believe, its me only who suggested them for a chiclet keyboard and a different (lighter colour) palmrest on the xps 15).

The LG isn't 14 inch though, it is 13. I don't think Alienware will become invisible either since people mostly buy them for the looks of them.

That laptop looks mighty fine. I certainly wouldnt be looking at my m14x if that was on the market. But it wasnt...............I'll be keeping my eye on that, especially if it has a decent screen.Hopefully a quad core...............

I have a weird feeling the P330 wont make it to the market. Mainly because the first prototype wasnt really working, and then they didnt have it at the next convention. :/

    maybe vaporware?

do yourself a favor and get a cheap car you don't care about. you WILL wreck it eventually. when you know how to drive (after taking serious driver courses not the crap required possibly by the state) save up and get what you WANT.
