    2GHz i7 will not run 1600MHz ram (according to intel)

    I seen these somewhere in here, and some people suggest you can use the 1333Mhz one and overclocked it to 1600Mhz. Though I always knew that the i7 2630 doesnt support the 1600Mhz, so no idea.

    EDIT: Finally found it! Here: 2630QM and 1600mhz RAM

    I would like to buy a 2.2GHz on a r2 refresh and overclock 1600MHz to 1866MHz

    lets just hope the GPU on ze next refresh would run metro 2033 max

    You need to overclock it in the bios, enable memory overclocking or something like that and set it to 1600mhz.

    but OC isn't a very good thing 2 do u know :(

    Ocing ram really doesn't generate any more heat especially when it's ment to run at that speed.
