Is anyone running 3d on the m14x to an external?
wondering frame rates and what monitor your using and if you could recommend it?

Can't recommend a 3D monitor, but pretty much anything that has HDMI input, 120hz, and says it supports 3D will be fine.
Besides a 3D monitor you will need an Nvidia 3d Vision kit:

Out of the box, you can then display games in 3D (even many older games will support 3D out of the box). If you want to play movies, you'll need to get a decent video player. The best software for 3d that i've found is Cyberlink PowerDVD.
The Blu-ray Player for All Media on PC, Device, Home & Social Cloud
If you want to actually have movies that play in 3D you'll either need an external blu-ray player, or you will need to download 'HALF SBS' files to play. SBS means side-by-side, and Half being that half the video feed is one eye, and the other half is the other eye.
Play them in Cyberlink PowerDVD and you will have 3D movies.
That's about the extent of my knowledge on 3D. There are a handful of movies that are in 3D that you can download (from nameless places), so things are just getting started. For games though, it seems that anything that supports directx will support 3D.
