Just want to check with you guys on a such machine like M14X,
assume 4GB 1600mhz and 8GB 1333mhz are the same price,
what would be the better way to go?
and what are the advantage on each?

well, depends on what you do, and what the CAS latencies are on either set.

Most people will notice no difference between those two configs. However, if you had to pick one pick the 8 GB set. Take more RAM over faster RAM for the same price any day. The difference in speed means almost nothing in benchmarks or real use.

I would say 4gb 1600 just because its hard to utilize 8 gb for most people. I personally use 8gb 1600 cas 9

I'd go with the 8 GB 1333 MHz. You won't notice the difference of the 300+ MHz, however you will more likely notice the difference of the extra 4 GB RAM when you have a lot of stuff open.
