Hi, I will buy an M14x soon but I have some questions, 1st is for the warranty, I'll buy it on USA but I (will) live in Canada, can I tranfert the warranty? And can I take only 1 year and upgrade it later?
And when the M14x R3 will be out, can I send my R1 to dell to upgrade it to the R2 or must I sell my R1 and to get the new model?
    Thanks in advance.

There is an ownership transfer form available on dell website and you can opt for an warranty extension but it costs more than buying warranty upfront.
The answer to your next question is that dell will never replace it until the your laptop is totally irreparable .

So I can't buy an R1 and upgrade for an R2 when it'll be availlable, it's disappointing :/

Lol, it would be nice but it wouldn't be cost beneficial to just upgrade people with new models. Do you know of any company that does that?

Your warranty however can sometimes get you a new model, if they arent producing them any longer or have any parts to replace broken parts, Dell will upgrade you to a similar specced model or upgrade you to the next in line. However do not depend on that. They warranty is great for parts that break down and complete care will cover accidental damage but it's not an exchange program.
