Hi
I accidentally shut the IGC (Intel Graphics 3000) down, and now i can't see anything on my screen.
What should i do?
-
activate it blindly from bios.
If you have a dedicated GPU, plug an external monitor into hdmi/displayport/vga to see if any of them outputs from it in order to help you.
If you don't, ask someone with the same model or find the laptop manual and enable it blind from bios. -
It solved itself somehow
When i did a second startup after the problem the screen worked again but at 800x600 and i reactivated it
Is it possible that i couldn't use my 555m when the IGC was disabled? -
HD3000 is needed to send the frames to the video outputs. The 555m is not connected to the video outputs, it only renders frames and sends them to the HD3000. Be careful of what options you play with in the modded bios. Just because the option exists does not mean it is helpful/useful.

This is true, the PC still needs the intel to run. You can check this article to make sure you always run your games on the nVidia card.
