    Hi,

    Is it an M14x r1 or r2?

What BIOS version are you running?

Did you update the graphics driver?

You can usually see the version listed when your computer first boots. It's during the initial BIOS load, usually in the upper corner somewhere. Or you can explicitly enter the BIOS by hitting a key during this sequence (usually Del or F2) to see the full BIOS options. The version is usually listed in there somewhere obvious.

If your system doesn't resume from Standby you should definitely try to update the VC driver, either from our support website or Nvidia's.

If it's the touch pad what stops working, you can follow these troubleshooting steps.

To check the BIOS version just click the Start button >> type "System Information" in the search bar at the bottom of the menu >> press Enter >> Under System Summary you will see listed your current BIOS version.

VC stands for VideoCard, in your case the nVidia :)
