Everytime I boot up my computer, I get the error message
Also because of this the keypad hotkey for AlienFX does not work and I can not open up configuration settings for AlienFX in the command center. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You're having a whole slew of problems... Try reinstalling the AlienFX stuff from Dell's website?
-
Theres nothing on the dell support site related to AlienFX, only things I see that are close are the command center and OSD applications
-
Yeah, then try those.

To be more specific, AlienFX is a build-in feature of Command Centre, you wont find any result if you search for AlienFX. Link to download the Command Centre: Alienware Command Centre

For some reason it wont let me download the command center. When I click download it tries to save a download manger rather then the command center. When I download it and run, it says there are no files to be downloaded. Any suggestions? Thanks for help btw, both of you

Hmm, go to the uninstall or add program place in Control Panel, delete it there, and then uninstall Command Center. From there, go to Computer>C>Program Files>Alienware and delete the Command Center file in there if it's still left there after uninstalling Command Center. Then try to reinstall it. If this doesn't work, try using system restore and restore it to when it did work.

No, I forgot that the first time you visit and try to download it will offer you to download the Dell Download Manager <- That program should NOT be downloaded because no matter what you do it will NOT update or even check it. You need to delete the cookie or the cache file for the dell website, or just click that link again in the Incognito/InPrivate/(Whatever private browsing your browser called) in order to download the actually file which will be under the Dell Download Manager. It will said something like "Download to (or via) your Browser" That what you want to do.
If you still cant download it, then I can upload the file from an Online File Locker (MediaFire) for you, Since it is my fault that I forgot to tell you not to click the first download link.
I dont think system restore would help since, he has no idea when the command centre problem occur. And He's talking about the reisntallation, but since he click the wrong link, he need to delete the cookie and cache of Dell.com to download the file. -
Thanks so much for your help, I was able to download command center in incognito mode. However, I still get the same error after reinstalling the command center. When I uninstalled it, I ran CCleaner to get rid of all the leftover data and restarted my computer before I reinstalled.

Did it work after you used CCleaner?
-
It did not, I still get same error message

So have you do a factory install? And if possible, do the Windows reinstallation, and if all these still not work, then it is time to call Dell, and to have them replace either the laptop or the Motherboard, since it seem that the motherboard is unable to recognize the AlienFX.
AlienFX Controller stopped working
