My brother recently purchased an Alienware 14. When it first arrived, the Touchpad light would turn on when he used it, and then turn off after a short period of inactivity. However, the Alienware went into Sleep mode, and after coming out of it the Touchpad light no longer turns on when used. I've tried setting/changing the Touchpad colors through the Alienware software and restarting the computer numerous times. I also set the Touchpad to "Always On" in the BIOS - the light turned on, but he doesn't want it on 24/7. I switched it back to "Auto", and now the light won't turn on again. Any idea what might be wrong?

Do you have a mouse attached to it? Is the "keep status zones on during go dark" enabled or disabled?

There is no mouse attached to it. "Keep status zones on during go dark" is currently enabled - I tried disabling and re-enabling it but that didn't help.
