    Hi everyone,

I'm trying to connect a Sharp HDMI 1080p screen to my M14x R2, and seems that I cant get around this consistent stuttering problem. So streaming anything to it seems to be a near impossibility. I played with the Hz (for some reason it defaulted to 50Hz, so I switched it back to 60Hz, and it's running better, but the stuttering still happens although less frequent.

I've tried to tweak the Nvidea configurations, Intel drivers, and windows. My guess is the combination of the 3 is creating conflicts etc. I seem to recall connecting my HDMI cable without any issue prior, but perhaps I'm thinking of another laptop. In any case seems to be using the HD4000 as the controller for this, and when I go into the Nvidea control panel, It only shows the HD4000 given optimus is hiding the 650M.

Anyway any guidance would be appreciated. I typically stay away from graphics card driver updates, as the main screen with games runs fine, but may take an exception if that's really the culprit.

    Thanks much,
    -ped

    I would update the driver.

I use my M14x R2 several times a week to stream to my big LCD in my living room. It works really well... the only setting I change on my TV is to set it to "Game Mode". This basically lowers the latency between the laptop and the TV... your TV might have something similar.
