    Alienware M14x R2 and Intel 7260 AC wifi

    I recently upgraded the wifi adapter on my m14x r2 to Intel Dual Band Wireless AC 7260.....all works fine except the bluetooth, tried the latest drivers for Win 8.1 but cant seem to make bluetooth work. Bluetooth enumerator seems to be missing from the device manager

    Hi,

    I have the same problem here with my M14x R2. I installed the latest drivers on windows 8.1 but bluetooth doesn't work correctly.

    I had a similar problem in Windows 8. I remember disabling bluetooth in the BIOS and rebooting into Windows 8, then re-enabling it in BIOS and rebooting to Windows 8, then I could finally use bluetooth.

    I tried, but the problem is still there. I also tried to reinstall the bluetooth drivers without any good results.

    Hi, I exactly have the same problem ! Since I migrato to Windows 8.1, the bluetooth won't work anymore...

    Same problem here on my Alienware 17 with the same wifi adapter (7260HMW).
    Bluetooth is enabled in bios but adapter is not showing up in Windows, I can't install drivers since the entire BT device is not even detected.

    I am running the 7260 AC in my R2, and the BT did get recognized, but I disabled it since I bought a separate internal Dell wireless 380 internal bluetooth module. I cant say if it would have shown up without having my separate module installed. I got it off ebay when I wanted to replace my Killer 1202 with my Killer 1103 for the 3rd spatial stream, but didnt want to loose my BT 4.0 or use a dongle. when I got the 7260, I went on the assumption that disabling it on the card may help it run cooler and with less interference. however both the separate bluetooth 380 module and the 7260's bluetooth were detected in my device mgr
