Ok so I have my physical disk of 10.6 disk version 1 and I made a DMG AND ISO, followed all the instructions and it keeps coming up to FATAL NO Bootable medium found.

I followed tons of youtube videos and different settings and still fails. How do I install my snow leopard on my m14x r2?

I know how to and have it on mine, although I'm not sure of the legality of it and talking about it on the forums, but if i am i have no problem telling how. Ask a mod if its okay to talk about.

It's rather easy with vmware, you just have to find the lion vmware images online. i'll leave that to you. but you should still have the retail software to be safe.

How's Lion and Mountain Lion, for those brave enough to update a Hackintosh, working on the M14x? Right now I'm looking for an in-between machine for until I can afford a Retina MacBook Pro since my 08 unibody is starting to show a hint of its age. I need 1080p video editing and Logic so it feels like it's time to move on to the i5/i7 realm. Currently looking at a 2011 MacBook Pro, an HP Envy 15, or an Alienware M14x to hold me for another year or so. Mac OS is a necessity so I may need the MacBook Pro for true stability. Still, can't help but consider a superior screen and more hardware prowess for a couple hundred less.
