I recently purchased a replacement battery for my Alienware M14X laptop. I set it to high performance in the battery power options. It performs slow and sluggish. The old battery I replaced only had maybe 5 minutes life, however the computer ran fine and just as fast as if it were plugged in. Any ideas?

Does it improve if you take out the battery?
