    Hi Guys,

    i have some problems with Metro 2033. Even on the lowest Settings i get just 10-15 fps. I think the gt555m is not activated proper. Is there any way to check if the gpu is activated and if its not activated, to force it except through the driver settings?

    right click your desktop , then click Nvidia Control Panel and then Manage 3D settings ( program settings) and make sure its the gt555m that is running ! You have to select the program from the list (the exe file) and then you can select graphics processor for this program.
    I always to that for my games.

    I play the game on hight settings between 35 and 60 fps.

    if you have the latest drivers, it should run fine. :confused: opti-mess always makes me wanna throw my laptop out the window :(

    Im just using the dell site one, 286 somehting ? runs great

    I dont know whats else could it be, maybe check the DX 9,10,11 ?

    make sure you play in dx9, not dx11.

    Yeah that's the driver I use.

    My last quess is to try reinstalling the game, maybe there was an error in the process.

    Good luck dude, it's so annoying when games that should be running arent

    Now that I have had time to think about it, the problem sounds like you are using the IGPU and not the 555m. Not sure how to fix this if you have already forced it through the nvidia control panel, but that would explain your low fps.

    Are you playing on power or battery? If on battery the performance of the GPU is cut down considerably - i.e a core clock of only 200mhz. It's a long shot but it could be the problem

    Hey today i added "-dx9" to the Startoptions in Steam. Guess what? It ran like it should :) i have no idea what it was or how this command worked. I Even think it isnt a Real starting command :D now i can finaly Play. Thank u guys :)
