So, I have a Dell Alienware m14x and it's turning out to be the biggest mistake of my life.

Last year the Hard Drive was failing according to the SMART short test - it got replaced

This year the Motherboard was diagnosed as faulty, how I do not know because PC check up did not report anything wrong, there were bluescreens aplenty, laptop was slow and overheating, sound crackles and the screen flickered when plugged into charge - it got replaced along with the keyboard as the keys had bizarrely come loose

Currently, I got my laptop back from repairs less than a week ago and it blue screened real bad and also a humming/buzzing came through the speakers when it did - did a PC Check Up, the SMART short test timed out (exactly the same problem I was having before, very odd), Boot Diagnostic reported that the battery was nearing the end of it's life which is REALLY strange because before it went back to repairs it was perfectly fine holding a 4 hour charge whilst watching DVDs

So, it seems that the issue of the SMART short test has never been resolved, and my warranty expires at the end of next April which makes me pretty anxious, because so far the problem hasn't been fixed.

Additional: I'm a VFX student and passing my modules is dependant on me having a working computer, I have been 3 weeks without one due to the last repairs on it and it's still having issues. Right now, I just want a full refund so I can get something that works. I should have never bought Dell, even a Mac would have been better than a Dell and I hate Macs.

Have you tried escalating the issue with tech support? Asking them for a different resolution?
