Alienware refurbished box pictures and laptop condition

I am planning to buy a refurbished M14X from eBay
Can anyone who bought a refurbished laptop post some pictures for the box ?
and is there anything wrote on the box that's may indicate that the item is refurbished ?
and what is the general condition of the laptop ? any scratches or dents ?

Why do you buy from ebay?
Just to be safe buy from Dell Outlet.
I bought my M14x from Dell Outlet and there were no scratches etc. Was just like new. The box is not fency like a new order though but who uses the box anyways. There was a green sticker under the laptop which says refurbished, and it was the only way to understand it was a refurbished unit. I took it off, so you cant really tell the difference.

Again if you can, buy from the Dell Outlet. In ebay you can get scammed by people which says factory refurbished which are actually refurbished by other people etc.

 

it comes in a dell box saying dell then ur serivce tag on the side no manuals, fancy box or packaging just box with a laptop clingfilmed to the bottom

just means they don't have any refurbished systems in stock. I would check it periodically and you should be able to find a good deal.

 

Yeah there was a %20 off coupon just 1 week earlier, dont know if its still valid or not. Check the Dell Outlet regularly like 5-6 times a day. I've heard that they put new stock at around XX:45 , and found mine around those times too. Dont give up and you will find a good deal with coupon.

 

Dell just restocked. There's about 9 m14'x right now.

I believe that the 20% one expires today.

 

Avoid buying them from ebay. Some times you can not get a warranty transfered onto it.

Also, the person selling it got it from dells outlet, took a picture of it and marked it up $100.

Just wait for one to pop up on the outlet then buy as fast as you can befor a ebay reseller picks it up.

 

um yeah... don't buy from ebay refurbed stuff - who refurbed?!? and i've bought 2 refurbs from the dell outlet store and the laptops looked and felt brand new... and with a 20-25% off coupon, you're beating the ebay prices even with taxes by a long shot anyway! stuff comes and goes in the dell outlet, you just need to check often to get what you want - won't wait more than a couple of days for the model that you want probably too!

 

I just got my outlet m14x. It looks brand new on the outside. (Inside is another story.). It comes in a generic box.

 

I suggest you talk to our resident Dell Sales Rep. Allen Mora. He can be found in the discount thread in the Alienware forum. For the price they are listing on Ebay you can probably get a brand new one with the latest Kepler GPU or maybe cheaper.

 

i don't have a picture of my refurbs from alienware dell, but everything seemed 100% new-looking and feeling... no regrets here (and i was able to get better specs for cheaper and an accidental warranty with the money i saved!)

 

It's a brown box and inside is laptop pressed in hard stretch plastic material onto steady cardboard. The laptop has a light foam protector between the LCD and keys to prevent scratches.

Generally, Refurbished Dell/AW laptops are in spectacular conditions and I do not believe that many ebay sellers would even consider purchasing a "scratch & dent" model because it reduces resale value. If it doesn't say it in the add, then it is very likely you will find no scratches and no dents.

Refurbished laptops get the exact same warranty coverage as a new laptop - 1 year next business day on site technician, which is unmatched by any other manufacturer.
