    Hey guys!
Haven't posted in a while but I thought I would ask to see if this is common.

I have the realteck audio manager utility on my m14x and when in speaker headphone then on speaker setup and run the channel test it seems that its outputting the audio backwards. The audio for the left is coming out of the right speaker and vice versa.

I tried plugging in a set of speakers and a headset and it looks like the output is perfectly fine, is it possible they wired my speakers backwards?

    Anyone else have this issue?

    Thanks!

What do you mean "Backward"? Or do you mean that the audio is inverted? Then have you try to configure the sound setting in the Control Panel?

Control Panel > Sound > Configure > Test: To see if the sound play out of the right speaker.

I think try call Dell instead, I think your speaker configuration is for some reason misplaced (right channel on the left side speaker, vice versa), call them so then they'll send a technician to swap it up or replace the speaker entirely.

    Yep,
Exactly I ran the test and the audio is inverted. Will dell still send out a tech to fix it if I got this alienware from the outlet store?

    thanks

yeah, they still have a 1 year warranty - but you might have to at them for a while cause the customer service SUCKS in general (it's exhausting talking to freaking indian people who are completely uninformed)

If you still have the warranty on, sure, mine I already replace 3 subwoofer (the reason is due to careless usage)

That depend, because of all my experience with Dell customer service, only 2 of them that is hard to understand or hard to deal with, and I also notice, because those 2 guys, I called them in the afterhour period, so my suggest is to try to call them on Weekday and during business hour. However maybe it is just I'm lucky. Good luck! ;)

I guess I will contact Dell and see what they can do for me. Is there anyway I could do the fix myself? I'm about to install a corsair force gt SSD in my alienware maybe I could fix it while i'm in there anyone got some layout pictures of the internals? I just have to locate the speaker wires and switch them.

Thanks headphones989 and CGSDR appreciate the feedback!

Well you can always DIY but if you're unsure what you doing, you might damage some hardware in the process and the warranty will not cover that. For HDD/SSD replacement, it is easier since you dont need to tear everything apart like for the speaker. Since I already have mine subwoofer replace 3 times, the speaker is locate in a quite troublesome area, you have to pretty take almost everything apart to get to the speaker.
