So i didn't do enough research, if i would have found this site sooner i would have never bought this computer.. I 100% agree that it does not get enough fresh air and after running it's magic for so long it accumulates too much heat and it doesn't get pushed out... So when i originally looked at it's set up i thought that it inhaled through the front, and had pretty light illuminating this fact *smiles, and exhaled through the back like most better gaming laptops do... just to enlighten you on my situation, if my nvidia card kicks on she shoots up to 90c within a couple of minutes... they ordered me a f'n fan and r sending me some heat monitor, my fan works fine.. they r paying a technician to come look at it for me is how im looking at it, either way this isn't going to solve my problem, even though tech support swears it will, I don't trust them for a second.... here is my diagnosis to this problem, like i said earlier she should inhale and exhale, I have a 4 yr warranty or else i would just do it, its pretty open behind both of them and i am sure its a little film behind there anyways, if i removed it there's already a screen.. I'm a 22 yr old kid, and I need some closure on this and someone to tell me why it's a bad idea, because i am seconds away from just doing it.. please give me some insight

Try out this troubleshooting. There are also tips in there that will help you keep it cool. Some users might state that repasting the heatsinks might work and I believe myself that it would be the best route. Hope that helps.

The cooling pad is really pretty, i do own one, but i would perfer to own that one... I am not trying to be negative but i want to ask a million questions, would the fan even really help, or would the fact the laptop is propped up be the part of this that is actually helping... mine has one big fan directly centered, and i never noticed the fan actually helping... it's not hyperboosting my other fan by feeding it fresher air, wouldn't there need to be 2 fans in the top corners inorder for it to even help my computer, instead of it just bouncing off my plastic??

Alienware is bringing me a new heatsink, should I repaste it myself and not use what they r sending me?? ehh, it's already on it way, and it's free.. but next time, should i just do it myself because the paste is much better??
