I don't know why, but every game I play now tends to stutter every couple of seconds, the framerate drops, then picks up, then drops again. And it's really ruining my game...

I really don't want to have a damaged or broken GPU.....

So I'm hoping its software related.

Anyone know of a thread like this or anything similar to help?

Few things to check: Are you running games on the Nvidia GPU? Do you use steam for your games? how long ago did it start happening? Have you updated the graphics driver? have you taken any steps in order to try to fix this issue?

Same problem just started happening this morning... only change i noted was that alienautopsy seemed to update itself. Yes im using GPU - i havnt changed any settings since yesterday in which was working perfectly. not a steam game, havnt updated the driver.. Help?

    Additional Details:
    - Tried uninstalling alienautopsy (after running it in which it said there were no errors), restarted and ran CCleaner... did not help
    - Clean install of nvidia drivers... did not help
    - Virus scan - found nothing...

I went from getting 80-100 fps to 20-40 fps for seemingly no reason... also my monitoring software says the GPU is definitely in use when i'm playing... I'm so confused..

All games run on the Nvidia GPU, Steam and non steam games alike both did this, It started happening about 2 weeks ago I'd say, maybe a month. I have updated the Graphics driver and I have reset the settings in order to attempt to fix this.

Have you checked your temps? It could be heat related
