    Audio and Touchpad Problem

    I have an alienware M14xr2. Sometimes when i turn on my computer my touchpad won't work, sometimes my audio wont work, sometimes both. I have to restart my computer untill both work. I have no idea what the problem might be. Any ideas?

    How long do you have this issue? Is it started recently? Does it started appearing after any software installations?
    I do not know the exact reason for the issue. Just some thoughts

    Re-installing the drivers. If this does not work, I would try a clean install of windows. Make sure you have backup of your data and the files necessary to do a clean install. This is by considering that the issue is software related.

    Hope you could sort this out soon.

    the audio issue has been a problem since i bought the computer, but after i had some problems with the HDD i reinstalled windows and the problem went away for a while. then it started again, the touchpad problem is completely new. what seems strange to me is that it works some times and sometimes not. I will try your suggestions. thank you
