Hi Guys,
I'm about to do a clean install on a fresh SSD and I thought it prudent to update the BIOS. I think I'm on A03 atm and I see the most recent is A12. Am I right in assuming the A12 update includes all the updates for the bios revisions I skipped? Or is it best to step up one at a time?
Is there any particular reason not to update? (I'm on the M14X R2)
Thanks,
s

Bios do not get "updated" in the conventional sense. The bios are completely replaced with the newer version, aka you are best going directly to whatever version you want to end up on.

It is recommended that you follow certain order to make sure you don't skip any fixes found in older BIOS versions. In your case from A03 to A12 you would follow this sequence:
M14x R2 | BIOS A04
M14x R2 | BIOS A08
M14x R2 | BIOS A09
M14x R2 | BIOS A10
M14x R2 | BIOS A11
M14x R2 | BIOS A12 -
good to know, thanks for the responses guys
