    Hi Guys,

Having issues with trying to connect a bluetooth device to my M14x

Hit the fn f3 button and switched on my bluetooth, icon come up on bottom right of screen, search for devices, nothing, never finds my phone or mouse.

Went onto the dell site and updated the drivers, still the same.

    Any ideas??

    Thanks

    Ricey

Not to over simplify but you are putting your phone and mouse into discover mode right?

Yeah, exactly. You have to make sure the bluetooth devices are discoverable, and connect within that frame of time.

I have an m14x and a Droid X2, and the instant I made the Droid discoverable the m14x found it and paired. Now, it's easy to move files back and forth between them, I just have to make sure I have bluetooth enabled on both devices as I tend to leave them disabled all of the time, and they find each other fine.

    Hi guys,

Yes devices are enabled, and get picked up by my Wife's Dell Inspiron.

I think its a hard ware issue with my system, as the settings are the same as hers.

Having exactly the same problem. It's gotta be something wrong with my system- I tried to connect to my friend's bluetooth mouse but it wouldn't let me find it. (we unpaired the mouse, shut off his computer, and put it into discover mode beforehand)

Already restarted everything, installed new drivers, tried a different mouse... no luck.

Using bluetooth, I've connected the razer orochi (awful mouse btw) and my blue ant headset. IF it's picking up the dell its probably because it's set to let other devices find it. You have to do the same with mice and other devices. Put your bluetooth device in pairing mode, go to the bluetooth setting in the alienware. Click "add device" and it should show up.
