Quick question, sorry if its a repeat i could not find the answer. I recently loaded a skin for my m14x which changed icons and such. However, it also changed my boot screen which I did not realize it would and did not like. I removed the skin and it removed the boot screen. However, it left me with just the microsoft loading screen and my alienware head is gone. Is there an easy way to restore this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know how to restore your logon to the original "Alien" but this is what I use:

Windows 7 Logon Background Changer - Customize your Windows 7 welcome screen wallpaper

    Enjoy! :D

Thats a really neat tool! But I am actually talking about the screen before this. Right when your computer boots on. There is the screen with the bar that shows the computer is loading up. It use to have an alienware on it. now its just the bar with the word microsoft.

Thanks a lot, it worked and its back to normal! However, my boot screen has reverted to Vista which is ugly, and i tried to fix it back to windows 7 using this trick Fix and Restore Windows 7 Boot Screen That Changes to Vista Style My Digital Life but does not work. Thank you for the help.

are you referring to to the boot GUI where the4 dots appear to form windows logo ? if yes, then go to run> type 'msconfig'. click on boot tab and see if 'no GUI boot is checked' . if it is, uncheck it and save and exit.

yes that is what I am refering to. It has reverted to loading like vista and not windows 7 with the dots/logo. I checked what you said, but it was already unchecked.

Is there maybe a boot screen filed or something to replace the missing one or a way to revert it to windows 7 instead of the vista?
