    Can I use ram that has 1333mhz with ram with 1600mhz?

    Also, does the i7 2630qm even recognize ram speeds more than 1333mhz? I heard it doesn't.

    you have to enable it in the bios. this has been answered about 6000 times

    It doesnt "support" it, but you can overclock the RAM in the bios. Mines running at 1600mhz right now. Doesnt make much a difference though.

    I wonder if you can order the i7 with the 1333mhz ram though, hm. Depends if Dell lets you or not.

    Dell forced me to get the 1333 mhz ram. Which means i can't just change it in the BIOS, but then again, i'm planning on upgrading RAM earlier, so i just saved $40 :)
