I recently got my screen replaced due to a dead pixel, but the replacement also has a cosmetic issue. I have attached a photo of it. You can see that the light from the alien head is not coming from the top portion because the socket around it was not cut precisely to allow light to come out. It really makes it look fugly. Could this be eligible for another replacement? Am I out of line here for making this an issue?

Haha yea man, I doubt they'd replace that....I mean, give it a shot... but thats hardly even a legit cosmetic problem, I'd never notice that.

I guess you're right man. Although there's also a really loud and annoying squeeky sound when opening and closing the lid. Do you know what the problem might be and how I can fix it?

If you have advanced warranty you may probably demand all those to be fixed properly and make them work the way they should be. But if you do not have the advanced warranty and you already had the system for a while, I doubt anything can be done as long as the computer is fully functional. Try giving them a call and maybe you will get a nice guy who may send you another technician over to replace the screen / cover and fix the hinge issue noise. If it was mine, I would have had it fixed already by myself since for me it is a piece of cake. :) But if you have no idea what you have to do to have them fixed, don't even think about it as you may end up damaging the screen or God knows what else. Best of luck!
