Hi, I recently installed a game named Maplestory and it seems I can't whitelist it, the exe is on the list but I can't switch to the Nvidia GPU, and because it's a free to play, you must launch it from the website, so I can't launch it by right clicking it and selecting Ndivia GPU.

Do you have a solution without updating my driver? I mean, is this normal? Why can't I select the Nvidia GPU? Thanks in advance.

Launch from a website meaning you play in a browser? Maybe whitelist the browser...although do you really need to for maplestory which is a rather graphically simple game?

No, I don't play from the browser, the game is an exe like all games but you must login and click play on the website to launch the game.

If it's a browser game, which i think it is, enable "run with graphic processor" in the nvidia context menu. And everytime you go to launch it, right click it, and select run with graphics processor, and choose the gt555m. Or launch your browser with the gt555m graphic card by doing the same thing, and logging into maple story.

It Is Not A Browser Game.

As in this case, The game already added to play with the GT555, not sure why it is still not saving the setting. -
just wondering. How can you tell if youve whitelisted a game correctly and if the graphics switch to the nvidia card?
I play eve online and when I window out I never see a nvidia card icon on the bot of the screen where the intel graphics card is always running. -
You can tell but you need to enable the GPU activities option that is under the Desktop in Nvidia Control Panel.
You might also want to tick/check all of the option if you want to make you it will be there.
After you enable it then it will show the GPU Activity in here:
Run any game that you have whitelist on, then Alt Tab out of the game and click on the notification area click on that GPU Activity, and you will see that the game you have whitelist is currently running using GT 555M.
One thing is that after you whitelist it, you must/may still need to change the setting in game to whatever you like it to be. -
