I'll keep a list of all the legitimate M14X reviews that actually say something meaningful (as in something you couldn't learn from reading the spec sheet).

    Example of low-class reviews - Laptops4Review

Example of Misleading Reviews - Slate Reviews

I belive that the Slate review should be called a "Mistate review" mabe they were reading the M11xR3 speculation thread. "Who would care about battery life in a gameing laptop?" I would. nice to see they did not have a M14x and instead to further confuse people used a picture of a M15x. Without battery life you might as well have a desktop.

It's possible that you may only need to work for ~ 2 hours. It's also possible that there could be outlets at more places than just your desk.

If the m14x actually gets about 4-4 1/2 hours of battery life with the screen about two levels below the highest level i'll be happy. :D

My comments were more directed to the Slate review which contained so much misinformation that one would wonder if they ever had a M14x in their reviewers office at all.

KillerJuice was correct by putting the reviews in groups of "The good", "The bad" and the "Just plain ugly". :p

Read the user reviews on the cnet page. Clearly they're trolls, the laptop isn't even out yet.

i wonder if that SIM slot is an unlocked slot? could I theoretically take the machine to the UK and pop in a local SIM and have web access?

    Azizhp,

What dell have done in the past is to have a sim slot in the body but you still need the underlying 3g/Mobile data card also.

Get a Huawei E585 (3 Mifi). Or Android/iOS Tethering will do the job.

Good one. I like how they emphasize "highly overpriced" upgrades :) Wonder how they managed to get the 7 hour 17 minute battery life though (!)
