I recently installed my SSD and did a clean install of Windows 7, also followed this guide The SSD Optimization Guide | The SSD Review for optimizing my SSD ( didnt do all the steps, but the ones I knew). I am not sure why but everytime I boot my computer there are new updates, restart, new updates, restart, new updates, anyone know what may be causing this?

It might only be some updates that didn't finished installing and needed rebooting. Try to update win7 manually and disable auto update

If u're using Windows 7 Ultimate, then the optional updates are those additional languages pack, so not need to worry about it, also it is just optional, if u dont want it for notify you again just hide it by right click on the update, you might need to click Yes when the UAC pop up.

but for me, I will install everything except for that language packs. If it still notify you, then try restart your laptop.

Add to this, some update require you to install the earlier update, some require you to restart your laptop in order to have them appear, so just do whatever it ask you to do, for me I don allow Windows to automatic update it but I chose the option of check the update and notify me which one to download, so then I will know how large are they and what are those update is for.
