Hi all, need some help, input from people that own this laptop.

I will mainly use this laptop to play games,League of Legends being my main game I play.
Games like BF3 and MW3 I will play on the Xbox since that's where all my buddies or family play online games at.

Games like Skyrim,Mass Effect 3,Rage,Fallout games. All games with single player only I will play on this laptop.

I will also use the HDMI for movies,1080p,to watch on the 52inch.

This is what I want to go with

    Intel Core i7 2630QM
    Windows Home
    Memory 4GB
    Video Card 1.5 GB
    HD 500GB
    LCD 900p
    Bluetooth

Now I got some questions,I download allot, should I upgrade the wireless card ? I will also play LoL via wireless.

Is 4GB enough for what I'm going to do ?

Is 1.5 GB fine or should I upgrade to 3GB,will only play single player games, with LoL being my only multiplayer game.I will also play some HD movies on it,but watch em on the HDMI.

Sorry if these ? have been asked before, but I'm going to spend $1,000+ on the laptop, and going to school, and with all the money that's costing,I have to make every penny count.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Your system is a decent build. I have the exact system, except with 6 gigs of ram. You'll be fine with the 1.5gb gt555m. But if you do want to upgrade to 3gb, it'll be a little better, not really noticeable, so it's up to you if it's worth it. 4gb of ram is fine. Windows 7 plus the running alienware programs take up around 2 gb of ram. So you might be pushing it when using high memory programs. But Windows 7 stores extra ram on the hdd for such apps. If you want more ram, get it on newegg, like the kingston hyper x, but you can always do that later. The wireless card is basically hit and miss. The stock one is fine, but some people have had issues. I'd keep the stock card, and if it's not working out, you can ebay an intel 6250 for 25 dollars. All you really need is the intel core i7 and the 900p resolution, anything else are just extras.

i have 1.5 card and its ran everything i play.
i have 6gigs ram, but im sure most on here will say that 4gig ram is plenty.
if you want to save money then stick with stock wireless card and see how you get on with it.
i would be shocked if it couldnt run them games. you may not get the the best get graphics but i would think med-high settings

I think your specs are perfect for your purposes. The 3GB card is useless and wont give you any significant performance advantages. You might consider upgrading the wifi if you plan to be using wifi a lot. However, I have the basic wireless n card on mine and i play Starcraft2 on it via wifi a lot and have had no problems. I also use it to browse and stream video via wifi and have had no problems with it, although others on this forum have reported experiencing low connectivity

    Thanks guys for the help.

    2 more questions.

If I get the 2 day shipping will I get it faster than 8-22-11,that's the estimated shipping date.

Also what is Xi-Fi,is it worth the 20 dollars?

No the 2 day shipping is you will receive it 2 days after it leaves the factory. Which is better than the 3 to 5 for free.
The Xi-FX is software for the sound, has a built in presets for movies, TV, jazz, Rock and so on. I think it works pretty well makes the sound louder and clearer, I have tried it on and off. ;) Worth 20 bucks I think so.
