It works, sometimes. I'd say 8 out of 10 times I have to go to the DVD drive, right click and hit eject. It's like the keyboard just doesn't even care that I'm pushing fn+f6. My other buttons work all the time, volume, battery, brightness, but eject is pretty damn finicky. Anyone else experience this?

I've had to either resort to My Computer -> right click, or after a fresh install, install the OSD application again.

How Bout this one! I have a brand new m14x and to the right side of the mouse pad where your palm sits, get very hot! Spoke to Tech Support in Costa Rica, and Jose dispatched a tech to my house the next day with a new hard drive, optical drive and heat sync. Well the fun starts here! I created an image set of my system knowing full well they would not have bothered to format the drive and send it out. So being a 15 year techie veteran I thought, OK this is no big :D. Following the directions from Microsoft I ran the Repair Disk Operation, well this is where things make absolutely no sense what so ever  ! The DVD/cd optical drive will not eject the startup disk, so now I am truly screwed  ! I spent a combined 22 plus hours with Costa Rica tech support. They remotely installed the drivers on my Windows 7 OS. It got so late I crashed, today I woke up and thought cool lets get that image installed. ! Nope not gonna happen! Fn-F6 will not open the drive outside of the profile. Spent more countless hours with Costa Rica Tech support, going around in circles. Dropped call, callbacks, dropped call,. call backs..There is noway to eject a disk from the DRIVE  outside the bios or inside the profile using keyboard commands. Now I am waiting for a call back from Dell/Alienware, Costa Rica Tech support  . I have gone through the process so many times I finally had to stop to keep from going insane. They Didn't install a tray drive it is just a slot in the side of the laptop. It has no manual way to get the drive out. I tricked the system and got my 1st image file started, expecting it to automatically spit out the disk for the next one...uh uhh. Not Happening  ! So here I sit waiting for Costa Rica to Come to my Aide! Hola` mi amigos! God help me!

You might want to reinstall your OSD App, because it also happen to me, but after I reinstall the OSD app, it fixed!
