Back when I had the Alienware m11x R1 dell's video card support was 0. Now I see they update it. Is there any point in using the Dell one? Or do they just repackage the Nvidia one?
I mean honestly, not P R answersIs it really optimized by dell or is just the Nvidia driver?
Thanks!
Only reason i ask is because it's much faster to receive update through nvidia

I suggest give both of them a go
as dell release an update driver so rarely, it's not hard to try them all
from my experience, the latest dell driver performs better than the current nvidia driverreborn2003 and L1qu1d like this. -

I hope we see dell drivers soon, every other laptop has been updated! funny thing is that the alienware ones were updated on the same day nvidia launched the 331.65 drivers (which are the only ones that work with BF4.reborn2003, Mr. Fox, iPhantomhives and 1 other person like this. -

In the hope that dell will address the problem quickly, i'll stick with 331.65whql drivers. -
If any of you are running Windows 7 with IE 11 this may be causing some serious performance issues. The reason is that Windows Update KB2670838 (a requisite update) cripples things. For me it knocks frames down by almost 50% and some cases more. For example, in Fire Strike benchmark I am normally running between 45 and 70 FPS as it progresses through test #1 and it drops to an average of 15 FPS as soon as the update has been installed. You may want to uninstall KB2670838 (which will simultaneously downgrade your IE to 9.0). I use Chrome so I don't really care about this.
