The battery in my Alienware 14 must have killed a cell or two, Dell told me today that parts are no longer available which feel is probably just out-right misinformation considering they're still liable for warranty replacements for at least the next 2-3 years for some customers.
I have found many shaddy-looking sites that want between $80-$140(one on ebay, USED for $200, HA) for this thing. I'm hoping someone has used one of these places in the past and can point me to a reliable source to find a spare battery here.
Thanks,
the Part numbers are Y3PN0 and 8X70T for reference.

I have the same problem as you, battery is messed up and won't charge and lasts less than a minute when unplugged, and I too cannot find where to get a legit new one. It is disconcerting to hear directly from dell that they don't have them either, I guess we are screwed :/

No, you guys are not screwed. Revert to this thread with a link you can order from.

Yes I have seen that thread before, that is one of the aforementioned "shady sites". Thanks anyway.

Really? I have ordered there before for a screen replacement cable and it all worked out. Just took a month but with no issues. No pressure though since every case could be different. Not sure where else you could go unless eBay.
Dell Spare parts source?
