I was downloading something today, i usually get about 1.1mb/s and noticed it was only getting around 600k/s... not totally uncommon but i was also unplugged...

not thinking about it i plugged the m14x in and voila my d/l speeds returned to 1.1. I repeated this twice with the same effects.

Unlike some i'm fine with power consumption while on battery ie not gaming at max performance, but I would like 100% of my download speed.

can anyone else try and reproduce this?

    thanks.

You would have to set the wireless card to maximum performance while on battery in the AlienFX editor under the AlienFusion Settings

believe it or not I was hardwired.
