It was working an hour ago, now it won't. Help?

Uninstall and reinstall Alienware Command Center. That's all I can think that might effect that..
-
Reboot, log out, load something, unload something. Kill the OSD app, and restart it.
I've ALWAYS had this problem with software based eject buttons. Their stupid as hell. Software eject buttons, and glossy screens....how the hell did those two things even get into laptop specs? Ugh.
Anyway, it will happen often, you can always open up "My Computer", right click on the DVD drive, and choose eject. -
That won't solve it. The M14x has a slot-loading drive, which means that it doesn't have a direct button to eject the disc. Instead, it has a key which is programmed to eject the disc (by going to my computer, right clicking the DVD drive, and then choosing eject).
So if the disc gets stuck, or the drive is not able to read it properly, it would freeze the whole system.
So there's no solution to this problem at all, may be there in the future, though. That's why tray-load drives are better, as they have a dedicated button to remove the disc without any problem. -
Lack of a physical eject button next to the drive would have done wonders
The only time my eject button hasn't worked was after a fresh install before installing the Alienware OSD from the resource disc. Strangely enough, when booting up the computer, I could use the key combination to eject and it worked fine, up until Windows started loading

Hmmm, didn't work unfortunately. I don't know what caused it to stop working.
EDIT: Yeah it only seems to work when the computer is booting up. I think it might have something to do with the Nvidia beta driver I installed...because it changed a few things too. For example, there is no notification whenever I turn the volume up or down. -
Any other suggestions?

Just uninstall and reinstall the Alienware OSD.

It worked. Much appreciated.
EDIT: The reason why it wasn't working was because the OSD for some reason was uninstalled. -
The OSD app controls all of your Fn keys. Volume, eject, brightness....and whatever else was up there.
Eject button not working?
