Eta Delivery is Tomorrow, Order still in Production...Dell vague and unaware.

I ordered my unit On Sept 8th, and it's initial estimate while configuring was Sept 24th, then changed to Oct 2nd. Calling dell seems to have not sped anything up nor has details been flooding in.

They keep saying they are accelerating delivery (for the past 3 weeks) and keep telling me their contacting Manufacturers (again 3 times with 24-48 hours with an update) Still absolutely nothing.

The Ship date is tomorrow, they clearly stated the unit will not be here...with 1 month down...and at the pace of technology it feels like I lost value time on a luxury item. Not only that but with midterms coming up soon, I will not have the luxury of setting up this unit when I will be neck deep in studying (and having to reorganize my files).

I'm days from just canceling order and going Eurocom.

Does anyone have insight into the BS that Dell is spewing?

I have been wandering around different sections on this forum, people from the gigabyte page are complaining about the delay of the new machines as well (due to the lack of some parts from intel or something?)
coincidence? are they fixing the c1 stepping bug? idk....

 

W.e they are fixing they need to keep customers in loop, not give them the work around. If they came up to me said look don't expect it in the next 2 weeks, please plan accordingly or bare with us because there is a delay at the blah blah blah.

But them saying, oh we'll update u or oh we'll get back to u...just irritates me more.

BTW it shipped yesterday apparently :S I got puraltor ticket! So if it's air hopefully I can get it by friday

If you want to apply that same blackmagic to my replacement that would be amazing. It's in production still and I`m like foaming at the mouth for it

Fair enough, but I just found out it's Dell estimate. Apperently Purolator has no package in their hands:S Very weird system. We'll see!
