If my M14x ever shows up (!), I'm planning on getting an extra AC adapter for it, so I can keep it plugged in on my desk, as well as back in the living room. Are there any third-party adapters that you fine folks trust, or should I spend the money and get a Dell one?

The original AC adapter for the m14x is a really nice design, has a lighted blue ring around the connector. I'm not sure if there are compatible adapters, could be wrong. But the oem charger looks really expensive to replace. If the dell version is less than 100 i say get it, but my guess is that it'll be closer to 150.

Yeah, the Dell one is about $120. I held off on ordering a second one because I figured I could find a good third-party one cheaper.

NP, I've had mine for like 3 weeks now with no issues, I think I'll buy another for my living room lol. I hate unplugging my AC adapter from my desk :p

Completely agree. I just wasn't willing to drop over $100 for another fancy Dell one. Thanks again, and good luck.
