Long story short, Dell mixed up my order and gave me the 720p screen. Called support and the tech came out and replace it with the 900p. However, upon the installation, he found an extra cable that doesn't go anywhere.

He was puzzled and says if I have time, go do some research. So, does anyone know what this cable is for?? I will attached an image later

it could be the bluetooth cable... is the cable the one underneath the right palm rest?

Cause it's the only cable that goes to nothing since I don't have bluetooth. other than that... he might have missed something. The monitor has 2 cables attached to the MOBO. The Keyboard has 2 also.

or.... did the monitor come with 3 antenna cables instead of 2? cause if it did... it could be for the 3X3 wifi cards like the bigfoot card

I forgot to mention the extra cable comes out of the LCD. Actually could it be a cable for the wireless HD? or possibly for the WWAN broadband?....

Maybe its for the webcam. Does your cam work? Can you describe the connector? Color/number of pin slots?

It's actually for the Wireless HD. My replacement screen had it also even though I didn't have the Wireless HD option. The tech just tucked it in. It did not get in the way.
