Hey all don't remember how this started but my m14x isn't even a month old and it's been happening for about 2 weeks now on occasion if im playing music or just even browsing the computer will freeze up and the music will freeze and let's say it's saying "I love rock and roll" and freeze on rock it will go i love rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrock and roll" if you know what i mean? The whole computer just freezes for a few seconds, it happens in games and i'm in a very popular clan for a racing game and when im on my m14x when im away for work i always lose because of this, i get left behind when it happens it unfreezes in about 2-3 seconds but it's just always enough and SHOULDNT happen

theres a video go to about 00;30 that's what the freeze is like, well that was in bf3. I've reset all my overclocked, i do NOT have a modded bios everything is all stock standard clocks and ao8 bios, thanks all.

+1 to that... Am having the exact same problem on my m14x. Mine is about 9 months old, but it seemed like the problem was always there... Gonna do a clean install of Win 7 when my new ADATA ram sticks come in tomorrow... Will report if that helps... This sure is annoying though! Makes me lose frames in my games, and happens even when am just watching videos or listening to songs :(
Would really like to know whats causing this!

If you have your Texture setting set to Ultra then try lower it to High or Medium because when you have it set to Ultra it mean that the game will be allow maximum use of the RAM/VRAM usage, that why you stuttering/freezing because of memory is at bottleneck level all the time.

I got this problem too and do a few search in the Battlelog, found a solution in that forum, then when I set it back from Ultra to High, the problem is gone, and BF3 never lag/stuttering/freezing again. Hope that help you too.

Btw I didnt actually fresh install, reinstall nor even did a system restore any driver, just change that setting then restart BF3, the problem is fixed, :)

@mudfl4p - Sounds good! Good to have a lag free system :)

@CGSDR - Yup, knew thats a problem with BF3 ultra settings... But our concern had to do with the m14x freezing up even when when were not playing the game and doing relatively simple things like listening to songs. Thats where a clean install helps us :D Thanks for the in-depth answer on the BF3 ultra setting though!
