Just did a fresh install, and was wondering what this unknown device could be. Also, i have downloaded the webcam firmware, but where do I get the webcam program that came with my computer. I'm more looking for figuring out what unknown device is.

The Webcam application can be found through this link here: My Dell Downloads, you might want to backup those application too because it has a download limit, for me It limit me to 3 times only. Oh btw, If you're a Google Chrome user or Firefox, sometime the registering does not work, the only way is to use IE8, IE9 also does not work, though it could work for you.

there were many reports of webcam firmware f**kin up the webcam instead of optimising it. you should look into that too
I got a webcam central CD with my machine, maybe you got it with yours as well . and as CGSDR has already mentioned, its available in my dell downloads.

It is mostly likely the ST Microelectronics Free Fall Sensor. I had the same issue when i re installed windows.
