I've had this notebook for approximately 2 weeks and it has been performing really well in 25man heroic raids until today where i get constant lag spikes which brings my latency to 1000+ms abruptly during boss encounters.

Settings are being placed at Good except for sunshaft which is at low due to 555M being unsuitable for it. i would expect no graphics lag of sorts since i've read overclocks running Ultra at 60fps smoothly. (VSync on) Currently running WoW on DX 9 which is supposedly more stable and having optimize performance for gameplay option ticked (which supposedly sends more packets of data through when required, esp during raiding i guess) Utilising a 100mbps broadband plan atm.

I've not modified anything from m14x's out of box condition apart from installing security software Microsoft Essentials and World of Warcraft. In addition, i've downloaded many Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems.

I'm using this notebook as a desktop replacement so i've went into bios to disable battery charging but leaving battery at 40% charged (would that cause any trouble?)

Can anyone please provide any performance increasing tips other than overclocking, defragmenting and disk cleanup? many thanks in advance.

If you are using the third-party (laptopvideo2go) upgraded nvidia drivers, I would attempt to put the factory drivers back on. If not, perhaps try them instead of the default ones.

Also, reset all your nvidia settings to default. I got some weird behaviour on the graphics side when I change settings.

When you say lag spike, do you feel it comes from processor or graphic chip or internet?
