    Green screen when turning on

    So when i turn on my lappy, theres a green screen and it does nothing, i cant do anything to it. Issit broken ?

    I'd assume it was broken or you wouldn't be asking :D

    No hard drive activity light, no beeps, bleeps... NOTHING?
    how long does it stay on (does it shut itself down) or do you have to power it off by holding the power button? (does it at least do that?)

    Do you Game hard and create a lot of heat (almost sounds dirty)

    I can recommend a few trouble shooting tips that are only good if you are familiar with its disassembly.

    Unplug and re-seat your graphics card, same with your memory. Power it on and see if anything comes up.... same result?

    I would say the culprit is those long gaming hours without using a cooling pad has taken its toll on your graphics card. Replacement or reballing is the only fix...

    BUT usually your operating system would still attempt to load if the display was semi working... so the problem could be elsewhere... hard to tell without the "lappy" in front of me.

    plug an external monitor into it and see if it does the same before you rip ur laptop apart
